CLAIM'N Compass

You have more to share than the thing that made you successful

The career. The companies. The money. The experience.

You have reached a point where you have more freedom to choose what you do, which projects you take on and how you use your time.

The ambition can be as strong as ever. But the next deal, the next position or the next goal no longer has to be the answer to what comes next.

CLAIM'N Compass is an exclusive network for men who have gone beyond what it means to be defined as successful — and who want to share experience about the whole of life, not only what they perform and build.

Participation is by selection.

Success gives you more options. Not obvious answers.

You can keep building. Take an exit. Start again. Invest. Work less. Or do more of what you already do.

The freedom to choose means more roads are open.

But once you no longer have to follow the road that brought you here, other questions matter more.

What do you want to use the coming years for?

Which relationships do you want to give more room?

Which friends do you want around you?

How do you want to feel and function physically?

What does work mean when you have more freedom to choose?

What do you want to contribute?

What should your resources make possible — for you and for other people?

Purpose, relationships, friendship, closeness, emotion, life's work, health and vitality all become part of the same question:

How do you actually want the next part of life to work?

There are questions few professional networks are built for

There is no shortage of settings for business, investment, board work and new opportunities.

Compass is built for a different conversation.

Here you can talk about the company you are still building, and about why you are considering leaving it. About what financial freedom makes possible and what it makes more complicated. About your relationship with your children. About friendship. About health and physical capacity. About identity when a role changes. About what you want to use your time and your resources for.

Money can be part of the question. Compass does not give financial advice.

Performance can be part of the question. Compass is not a business network.

What they share is the life around and beyond the thing that made you successful.

Compass is not open to everyone

What Compass is worth depends on who is in the room.

So participation is by selection.

Wanting to take part is not enough. And taking part in another CLAIM'N programme does not automatically mean a place.

Compass is for men who have gone beyond what it means to be defined as successful, and who arrive with experience, perspectives and questions that are also worth something to the others.

Beyond Achievement can be one way in. Experience from other parts of CLAIM'N can be another.

Every participant should have something to take and something to give.

Share experience and practices about what actually happens in life

Compass rests on the participants arriving with substantial experience of their own.

Between the gatherings, life carries on.

One man sells a company. One decides not to. One steps out of an operating role. One builds something new. One changes how he works. One reorders his time. One is working on a relationship, on his health, or on what he wants to do with the coming years.

When the group meets, there are new decisions, new experience and new lessons to share.

What worked? What did not? What turned out differently than you expected? What has someone else done that you can learn from?

The group's collective experience grows between the gatherings.

One central question at every Compass

Every Compass starts from one central question.

It can be about direction, identity, purpose, responsibility, relationships, legacy, or what you want to use the coming years for.

The question gives the group a shared starting point, but the work starts from the participants' own lives and experience.

You get time to put into words what the question means for you, hear how others see it, test your thinking against their experience, and decide what you want to take further.

How CLAIM'N Compass works

Through the day the work moves between conversation in the whole group, smaller groups and reflection on your own.

Participants share experience and practices, work on the central question from their own lives, and get perspective from men whose experience is different but who understand what is at stake.

The day ends with each man putting into words what he is taking with him.

A network that becomes worth more over time

Compass is not built around a single gathering.

Participants get to follow one another while life changes.

The man building today may be facing an exit later. The man stepping out of an operating role may start building something new. Relationships change. Children grow older. Health and the body change. What felt important two years ago may need rethinking.

At the next Compass, the participants come back with new experience.

The relationships can deepen. The trust grows. The group knows more of each other's history. And the collective experience is larger.

So when new questions come up, you do not have to start again with new people.

You have a network that keeps developing while you do.
